The South Korean tech giant has planned to terminate its service of S voice assistant on all devices from 1st June 2020. Samsung has started this feature in competition to google assistant and Apple’s Siri voice assistant.
Earlier it was preceded by Vlingo which was then made as S voice assistant which is being succeeded by Bixby. But after the launch of its voice assistant now Google is taking down it’s S voice assistant and it will be taken over by the Bixby.
As an informative Samsung has also told some of the Samsung products which are still on the use of S voice assistant will be effected and will not be updated to Bixby the S voice successor.
The Samsung devices that still use S Voice include:
- Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9
- Galaxy Note FE
- Galaxy Note 2, 3, 4, 5
- Galaxy S3, 4, S5, S6, S6 Edge, S7, S7 Edge
- Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
- Galaxy Watch
- Galaxy Watch Active
- Galaxy Tab 4
- Galaxy Tab 4 8.0/10.1
- Galaxy Tab S8.4 and S10.5
- Gear S, S2, 3
- Gear Sport

Samsung developed it as the virtual assistant for its mobile devices. It is used in performing multiple tasks in its devices to help you and save your time by allowing you to control your Samsung devices via voice command. It makes various tasks handy and easily accessible like telling the time, weather updates, reading contacts from the contact list, navigating you via voice assistant to your location, adding schedule in the schedule and various other tasks.
