AmazonBasics has recently launched its brand-new TV in India. The brand has launched several other gadgets in the past including electronic appliances, home goods, accessories, and many more. The release of the TV is its first move in the television section.
The TV will be available in 2 major variants of 55-inch and 50-inch screen sizes.
The product is meant to compete with established brands in the sector like Sony, Xiaomi, TCL, and more. Amazon is trying to step into the segment by coming up with its series of smart TVs.
AmazonBasics Fire TV Price and Specifications
The 55-inch AmazonBasics Fire TV is priced at Rs. 34,999 and the 50-inch is priced at Rs. 29,999 in India. These models are available on the official Amazon India website. For users living in Mumbai, the television will be offered with two-day delivery.
It will also be available in other screen sizes as well, including a 43-inch and 32-inch TV variant. Both these versions will be launched later by the company.
Both models have similar features. The screen for both models has an Ultra HD LED display. This 4K panel also supports HDR 10, HDR 10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision.
Also, it supports Dolby Atmos, which can enhance the sound to get a better viewing experience, paired with a rated speaker output of around 20W. The display has a refresh rate of 60Hz and a viewing angle of up to 178 degrees.
These television models are powered by an octa-core Amlogic 9th generation processor imaging engine, coupled with three HDMI ports and two USB ports. Moreover, there is an IR port to control the connected devices like Receivers, Soundbars, and Set-top Boxes.
The TVs are Fire TV Edition and run-on Amazon’s Fire TV OS. It is the same operating system in the case of television as is found on the Fire TV Stick range of streaming devices.
Fire TV OS is typically meant to perform its best with Amazon Prime Video but also supports other streaming services like Netflix, Hotstar, and YouTube. They also have voice assistant Alexa in-built. It can be used to play movies, TV series, music videos, and much more.
Both the models come with a manufacturer warranty of one year, with an additional year warranty on the panel.
