Climate Change and Its Global Impact

Climate change is the defining environmental challenge of our time. Driven largely by human activities like burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial pollution, Earth’s average temperatures are rising. This warming leads to more extreme weather events—hurricanes, wildfires, floods—and melting glaciers that cause sea levels to rise. Ecosystems are being disrupted, threatening biodiversity and food security. Coastal cities face increasing risks of inundation. Climate change also affects public health, with heatwaves and the spread of vector-borne diseases. International agreements like the Paris Accord aim to limit global warming. While renewable energy adoption is growing, urgent and collective global action is still needed to mitigate irreversible damage.
